The Town of Livonia Animal Services' department provides the following assistance to all residents and is dedicated to helping protect the health, safety and welfare of both people and animals in our community.
- Responding to stray animal complaints
- Investigating dangerous animals
- Impoundments
- Adoptions
- Ordinance enforcement
LEASH LAW
The town has a leash law which prohibits animals from leaving the owner’s property unaccompanied. It is also unlawful for any person to abandon or leave any animal within the town. All dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies and have a collar with a tag showing the owner’s name and telephone number. Please be respectful to your neighbors by keeping your animals in your yard. This law will be enforced.
POUND
Occasionally we have dogs that are available for adoption. Please visit us on Facebook for adoptable dogs. Dog Pound hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.
