TOWN OF LIVONIA
PROCLAMATION
WARREN POURCIAU, SR. DAY
WHEREAS, the people of the Town of Livonia are grieved to learn of the untimely death of Warren Pourciau, Sr., the town’s beloved Council Member and former Mayor; and
WHEREAS, throughout his long career as Council Member for eight and one-half years (two terms plus seven months), and Mayor for twenty-four years (six terms), Warren Pourciau, Sr. gained the respect, admiration, and highest regards for all those with whom he came in contact and the love and affection of all who were proud to call him a friend; and
WHEREAS, we mourn his loss and extend to his wife and family our sincere sympathy in this hour of deep bereavement; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting that we set aside a day in this community of Livonia, Louisiana, to take public and official recognition of Warren Pourciau’s long and faithful service to the citizens of this Town.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Rhett Pourciau, Mayor of the Town of Livonia, do hereby proclaim July twenty-third as Warren Pourciau, Sr. Day in our community in sincere appreciation of his dedicated performance of the duties of his office.
